- If there is a plastic cover behind the batteries, you have a controller car.

Is my electric Club Car is a resistor car or electronic control?
This will generally apply to all electric Club Car DS golf carts built after 1982. To find out is very simple, and must be known if you would like to upgrade your batteries (from 36 to 48 volts).
