No. All electric golf carts currently use Lead Acid rechargeable batteries and could be 6, 8 or 12 volts. This type of battery DOES NOT have a memory like for example NiCd batteries (in your cellphone).
Your golf cart batteries are at peak performance from day 1. The best way to keep peak performance is to keep them fully charged all the time and maintain them (see our battery maintenance article). Keep them fully charged when at rest or in storage. If the golf cart is in storage, recharge them every 30 days. Always recharge your batteries after anything more than 20 minutes of pedal time.
