  • Do Golf Carts Have Titles?

    Do Golf Carts Have Titles?

All major brand Golf Carts dont come with titles like a car. You can use the Bill of Sale as proof of ownership, for example if you would like to register your golf cart for street use. All major brand golf carts have serial numbers, and most have model numbers. These unique numbers could be used to trace back the golf cart to original ownership or view maintenance records.

  • Where can I buy a golf cart?

Where can I buy a golf cart?

Okay, you've decided on the perfect type of golf cart you want, but you have only one problem... Where do I buy this golf cart?!

    Buying New:
Click here to view a list of new golf cart dealer locators.

    Buying Used:
Check out the GCF Classifieds. Another great place you can check out online is eBay.com. And finally... Don't forget your local dealer probably has a selection of pre-owned golf carts as well.

  • Is my electric Club Car regen I or regen II or I.Q. system?

Is my electric Club Car regen I or regen II or I.Q. system?

The term 'regen' is short for regenerative. It feels like a break is being applied as you travel down a hill, but what is really happening is your golf cart is using the speed increase you get when going down a hill to charge up the batteries.

Determining if your golf cart has the regen system.
The first thing to check for is that your golf cart uses a small electronic switch to shift into forward and reverse. If you see this you have determined that it is a regen Club Car....

  • Is my electric Club Car is a resistor car or electronic control?

Is my electric Club Car is a resistor car or electronic control?

This will generally apply to all electric Club Car DS golf carts built after 1982. To find out is very simple, and must be known if you would like to upgrade your batteries (from 36 to 48 volts).
    1. If you find resistor coils near the motor, and only 1 solenoid, you have a resistor car.
    2. If you find resistor coils near the motor, and you have 5 solenoids, you have a much older solenoid car.
    3. If there is a plastic cover behind the batteries, you have a controller car.
